ADDS WATER TO LIVE FUELS TO KEEP VEGITATION LUSH AND GREEN
SAFETY FACTOR INCORPORATES INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL FIRE PROTECTION DESIGN ASPECTS
PROVIDES A FRONT LINE WATER SOURCE FOR RESPONDERS
Introducing the Future of WildFire Defense: Our Innovative Sprinkler System
At Boreal Fire Protection Inc., we're proud to unveil our groundbreaking WildFire Sprinkler System Patent Pending - a state-of-the-art solution dedicated to bolstering the protection of our cherished communities and developments.
Why is this a game-changer?
Traditional fire guards mainly consist of cleared forest areas, employing a combination of tree removal and controlled burns to minimize WildFire threats. While these methods have proven beneficial, we saw room for enhancement.
Our revolutionary system stretches over 4.5km and is designed as a semi-permanent installment, set to dramatically enhance these existing fire guards. But that's not all. This system is primed to spring into action during heightened fire risk times. It will drench live fuels, drastically decreasing their receptivity to fire brands.
Benefits:
With our innovative system, we're not just combating wildfires; we're changing the way we prepare for them. Join us in embracing this leap forward in WildFire defense.

We are able to provide prominant industry leading experts for all aspects of the project, to ensure your needs are met. This includes, but is not limited to: Environmental Impact Assesments, Water Source Analysis, Insurance, Architectual Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Welding, Helicoper Ready/Solar Electric Pumps, Equipment & Rigmatting
Value
Helicopter Ready
-The system consists of a Diesel/gas/electric pump connected to a water source.
-This pump will be contained in a pump house that has the potential to be helicopter ready, and adaptable for solar panels/charging/batteries for remote applications.
Semi-Permanent System
-The permanent aspect of the system is a welded steel main. We strategically plan the zones coming off the main.
-Zones are the semi-permanent aspect of the system and will possess the ability to be collected for winterization by a team of 4 people over 2-3 days
-Every ~100m, we install risers off the steel main with a 2.5”/1.5” hose valve. This provides a consistent frontline water source for responders in emergency situations.
Endless Options
-Sprinkler head selection/ability varies per customer need. From a small 2m radius to a large 95m radius, and 1.4lpm - 4473 lpm flow.
Remote Access
By incorporating existing irrigation products into the design, we are able to achieve complete remote access and control of the WildFire Sprinkler System.
Incorporation of Fire Protection Design Aspects
-Near the system header, we will install a fire hydrant on a separate supply source, in order to provide a safety factor and a supplemental water supply for emergency scenarios.
-On the system pump house, we will install a fire department connection. This provides the same function as fire department connections on commercial buildings. It provides a means for supplemental water to the system in emergency scenarios.
-Every ~100m, we install risers off the steel main with a 2.5”/1.5” hose valve. This provides a consistent frontline water source for responders in emergency situations.
Time Tested Schedules
Our Systems are designed with a 25-year life cycle and come with a detailed maintenance plan with services such as:
-Weekly/monthly visuals (possible 24/7 monitoring via video camera system such as CCTV)
-Quarterly confirmation of flow/pressure/tamper switches with SCADA monitoring system
-Annual inspection consists of the above, in addition to the following: pump flow tests, complete pump maintenance, system flow tests from a most remote location, backflow device testing, complete system visual
-Annual pressure test pre-commission of summer system
-3-year internal inspections of header and pump impeller
-5-year internal inspections of piping
-5-year PRV test(s)
-5-year hydro pressure test - 150psi or 50psi above working pressure TBD
-5-year sprinkler head sample due to corrosive/highly abrasive environment
The unparalleled merits of our WildFire Sprinkler System are evident. This system is more than just a sprinkler; it's an amalgamation of benefits. By wetting live fuels, it offers a prime water source for first responders during emergencies. Drawing from the robustness of industrial/commercial Fire Protection systems, we ensure that our sprinkler system offers unparalleled reliability, ensuring peace of mind that it will perform precisely as expected and minimize potential harm.
Every client presents a unique scenario, and we're adept at tailoring our solution accordingly. Whether you're considering the extent of automation, specific water distribution from the sprinkler heads, or seamless adaptability for emergency response teams – we are here to craft a solution tailored to your exact needs.
